Scothern Construction is committed to all aspects of Health & Safety and constantly monitors and advises on all aspects of new legislation and good working practices. The company has a comprehensive Health and Safety Policy and has an excellent track record regarding safety on sites.
As Principal Contractors we are able to offer Planning Supervisor/Safety Coordinator for works being undertaken and often forms part of the complete package provided.
Asbestos is highlighted as a major Health & Safety issue involved with all refurbishment and alteration projects and is often dealt with by the company. All our staff have undertaken asbestos awareness training and we are able to arrange for the asbestos surveys and for stripping out of licensed asbestos.
All Scothern Construction Site staff hold current CSCS skills training cards incorporating Health and Safety Awareness, and our site managers and foreman hold SMSTS (Site Manager Safety Training Qualification)The companies training programme is varied and ensures adequate training and refresher training is available to all.
Operators of our plant equipment, are trained and certified under the NPORS/CITB scheme.
The Company has external Health and safety Consultants who ensure that our policies are updated to meet current regulations, and assist with any Health and Safety issues. We are regularly inspected and audited by various health and safety bodies and are accredited by CHAS, Eurosafe, EYRC (certificates available)
